Foreign experts who stay in Vietnam for no more than 14 days are not required to undergo centralized medical isolation but must download the Bluezone app.
According to the official letter of 4674/BYT-MT issued by the Ministry of health in 2020, which is the medical guidelines for foreign experts working in Vietnam for short-term (less than 14 days) prevention and control of the COVID-19 epidemic:
Investors, experts, skilled workers, business managers, entities (hereinafter referred to as experts), and family members from different countries enter Vietnam and stay for no more than 14 days without centralized medical isolation. However, they must strictly and fully comply with the regulations on the prevention and control of the COVID-19 epidemic, so as to ensure the safety of the families of experts and avoid cross infection and infection with the community.
Vietnam plans to reopen six international routes from September 15. According to the plan just proposed by the Vietnam Aviation Administration to resume regular international flights to Vietnam, flights between Vietnam and China, Taiwan, Japan, South Korea, Laos, and Cambodia are based on gender frequency.
1. What documents do you need to prepare to go to Vietnam? A valid 6-month passport and a valid visa for Vietnam are required (Vietnamese visa can be applied in advance or on arrival).
According to the content of the notice, foreign citizens who enter Vietnam with visa-free entry, electronic visa entry, or tourist visa entry from March 1, 2020 can “automatically extend their temporary residence right” until August 31, 2020.
